RED DEER
The Red Deer
is the 4th largest deer species behind the moose, elk, and sambar deer. The ancestor of all Red Deer, including wapiti, probably originated in central Asia and resembled sika deer. The males are called Stag and the female is called hind. The males can weigh between 350-530 pounds and the females 260-370 pounds.
