The Red Lechwe is an antelope found in wetlands of south central Africa. The Lechwe is a medium-sized antelope closely related to the Waterbuck. The Red Lechwe populations have declined drastically over the past years in southern Africa and is listed in the IUCN as a near-threatened species.
